If you are a Bob Marley, Santana
and The Beatles fan, then you will love the blend of styles
in this CD. Guaranteed!
Reggae
music is a recognized universal language
and the Rasta dream of ONE LOVE
has touched every corner of the planet thanks to this
good conscious music that blesses our soul every time
we hear it. Here and now, that is what we offer - good
conscious music with the right messages... for FREE.
Why free? Because we TRULY
believe FREE is the best marketing tool nowadays, but
more importantly, because Rasta
messages are meant to be free and to be shared.
We figure that, when you feel touched by our music,
that is already part of our compensation. The other
part comes when you realize we deserve to keep making
music and come back here to support us by purchasing
the physical copy or DONATING
to the band in any way your budget allows. $1.00 is
good, $5.00 is very nice, $12.99 will get you a physical
copy and if you decide to DONATE more than that, well,
that will assure we get started on our second album
all the sooner.
The important thing about this approach is that it assures
that Rasta messages keep reaching across and no
barrier will rise up between the message and the listener,
no matter where he or she may be in the world. The internet
is a powerful tool and our goal is to keep spreading
Rasta messages all around the globe.
"Dreads In My Heart"
is our contribution to the Rasta philosophy.
Today we are launching this CD full of confidence and
standing very proud because of the goals we have already
achieved. Today, from San Juan Puerto Rico, we offer
you these twelve songs. Download and share them with
your friends. Just send them a message like...
"Hey, check out these guys from Puerto Rico who
are giving away their Rasta album for free. You can
hear the songs before you download them. http://www.jahmusik.org
."
May we suggest you copy / paste this text into a message
and send it to your friend while your songs download?
That is another way you can support our efforts. Please
don't keep this a secret. It will take you less
than a minute to send this email and for that we’ll
be grateful forever.
We hope you enjoy our music. Please come back anytime
to buy a copy, donate or just leave a review, you are
forever welcome! Jah bless!

Children get together
for the time has come
To stand up and be counted
We got to give this world
a new direction
Cause our leaders have
all let us down
Kings and presidents
who think they rule
the world Waging wars
we never wanted
Planning and devising
destruction just to
fatten up their
bank accounts
But now the tide is
turning against them
Victims of their
own device
They know that nobody
can save them
Now they feel
their terror deep inside
So get up, Jah children,
the time is ripe
To reveal the only
true solution
A new world vision
based on truth
and rights as commanded
by the higher heights
(chorus)
JahJah, He will provide
to us from the highest
The power to change
the course of humanity
Rastas will come forth
out of every nation
And lead us into
a new age of unity
Nations helping out their neighbors acting in
the name of Jah
Dropping to one side
the sabers
Never picking
up a new weapon
Sowing seeds of understanding
Speaking out in every tongue
Working hand in hand together
Eliminating Babylon
Diseases eradicated
Hunger will be satisfied
Poverty eliminated
For the benefit of
humankind
So rise natty dreads
take your rightful place
As the cornerstone of all
creation
Use your gift of
Jah-given grace
Make a world
that we can all embraced
(repeat chorus)
JahJah, He will provide
to us from the highest
The power to change
the course of humanity
Rastas will come forth
out of every nation
And lead us into
a new age of unity
I may not wear
dreads in my hair
I may not feel their
weight on my neck
But I do grow them
in my heart
Like any other Rastaman
Revolution, Inspiration
Reggae enforce liberation
(mind and soul)
So don’t be fooled
by the colors I wear
Or the religion
I first care
Cause every time
I hear a Rasta
I feel dreads dancin’ in my hair
Watch me happy…
watch me dance
I need your guidance…
Rastaman
Cause more than music
we all share
Feel the love spreading everywhere
In Rasta Heart -
Rasta Man
You make music
I understand
Cause my belief is
in God’s good care
It is love what
we all share
Lift my soul
from any wrong
Soothe the problems,
make them go
Give the people
what they want
Give them hope
in their hearts
(chorus)
Watch me happy…
watch me dance
I need your guidance…
Rasta Man
Cause more than music
we all share
Feel the love
spreading everywhere
And every time
I hear a Rasta
I feel dreads
dancin’ in my hair
You wake up in the
morning and the day
begins
Go out into the world
you see the same
old thing
People making madness
with their points of view
Thinking of themselves
but not of me and you
I’m dreaming of the day
that we all live as one
To make this world
a better place for
everyone
I’ll give you all I got
yet I will never lack
So just when I get started
don’t you hold me back
…instead just
(chorus)
Fire Me Up! I’m gonna
get with the rhythm
Fire Me Up! And lead
the life that I’m livin’
Fire Me Up! Can’t get me
down when I’m chillin’
Fire Me Up!…
Cause JahJah bless me
each and every day…
every day I say…
I know we’ll find a way…
For that is what I pray
You know that Jah
provideth every time
you ask
Seek and you shall
findeth is the only task
Don’t fall into the
dungeons of your
worried mind
Cause nobody
condemned you
to be serving time
The irie meditation
helps you keep it
straight
We came to love
each other not to
cheat and hate
So every time you give
someone your
helping hand
You bring the peace
of Zion here to
all the lands
You’ve got to
Listen to yourself…
Dive into the well…
Look into your eyes…
and know that right
inside you is where
Jah resides! Yehehehea!
I’m tellin you that,
I’m tellin you that!
You got to fire me
up now , fire me up…
So now you can receive
the gift that Jah provides
The grass is always
greener by the river’s side
So take a time to glory
in the Irie Ites
And live in peace forever
it’s your right of rights
And tell them…
Every where I go
people ask the same
Why you smilin’ so
while we go insane?
I don’t say a word
I just walk on by
Cause irie is the feeling
I have inside
I’m jammin’ to a tune
I got in my mind
A little gift from Jah
you know He’s so kind
It has a little skank...
And a little drop...
And plenty inspiration
from the One above
It follows just one beat
with sweet melody
And fills me up inside
with Jah-love you see
I just need to
light up my soul
and connect to
Mount Zion for the words
(chorus)
Irie Life - is the life for me
Livin It Up - I’m care free
On cloud nine -
where I want to be
Smilin’ all the while
‘cause Jah Love is Free
Jammin and a laughin,
I’m livin’ free
Never never worried,
only smile you see
Making up my mind
to enjoy the day
Early every morning
I begin to say
(repeat chorus)
Money cannot buy it -
Oh no!
You can’t beg or steal it -
wow oh!
You gonna have
to make it - inside!
And then you feel
Jah-lovin’ – Yes I!
Oh
Jah send us hope
Let us sing to the world
Let us soothe it up
with some words
One man can do a lot
That’s what keeps us strong
Bring peace accross
Share the love
(chorus)
Leave your worries behind
Put Jah in your mind
If times get hard on us
No worries…
Yes I know
No worries…
Yes I know
Rasta spirit among us
The meaning of One Love
Men and women of God
Our humble code
So let us be strong
and true to ourselves
teach people
what we know
Off Babylon trail
(repeat chorus)
Whenever trouble comes
Remember you’re not alone
You belong to
something more
Our Rasta love
So put Jah in your mind
Troubles He will turn
There will be better days
That’s how we learn
(repeat chorus)
…No, no, no worries,
…Never never ever
you worry
…Ain’t got time to worry
We are the children
that became men
the same ones Rasta chanted
Struggling still to survive
making sense in I and I
Bring Rasta a chair,
let him sit and talk
It’s time for you to listen
We’ve had enough,
no government
represents us
So we got to move up
(chorus)
We need to move up
We need no fear
We’re calling to the world
Rasta is here, Rasta is here
In the UN we should be IN
in Africa we believe
So many countries,
I tell you my friend
need to be freed
Enough theory
more practice
Let’s bring Zion here,
let’s make it real
We want new laws
no government brings to us
We need you to work
for those who cannot
Don’t lay and rest
Do work and sweat
Feel good being you
Show them we’re true
Tell me what you’re
going through
We’ll build a bridge
between me and you
Life is full of mysteries
We’ll share the pain
and the sweet glories
I know that many times
you’ve cried
You felt alone and
emptiness inside
And yet you choose
to still believe
Your faith is strong…
your faith is strong…
(chorus)
Together we’ll fly
up to Zion
On a chariot of fire
pulled by a lion
We have to have
a will of iron
His love is all
we need -
the only thing
we can rely on
Nothing lasts for
very long
Right here with me
is where you belong
I’ll always be here
by your side
So take my hand
and look into my eyes
It’s not a stranger
you will see
We’ve been together
for eternity
And nothing can
come in between
Cause we are one…
Yes we are one…
In unity we’ll
conquer life
Fill our spirits
with the guiding light
I promise that
in time you’ll see
How everything
was always
meant to be
So many places
we will go
And our love you
will see it grow
And though the
journey will be long
In every trial
we will be made strong
(repeat chorus)
Build your peace
on solid ground
All you lost will
at once be found
Put your trust
in higher hands
Cause you are part
of His almighty plan
So Love your life
and live it free
Share your love
and feel the harmony
Cause when the truth
you is known
Anywhere you are
you will call it home
So what’s the name
of the music we love to play
when we’re feelin’
sad and blue my friend?
Ain’t it roots?
Roots from the heart
The kind of music that
lights up my life
(chorus)
Roots baby,
roots from the heart
Come back now
and play me some roots,
but do play itFrom the heart
I’ll dance to it and
I will pray
so people can start
believing in themselves
I see things in the ghetto
are still the same
and injustice in the world
has not changed
So while there’s a people
struggling for rights
Work needs to be done
so let’s keep up the fight
(repeat chorus)
I’m calling on you now…
to come back, and
play me some roots
But do play it from the heart
Wow oh..… I’ll dance to it
and I will pray
So people can start believing
in themselves
We need reggae music
to heal our minds
to make us feel high in I and I
So won’t you just play me,
play me some roots
and lift my soul up to
the higher heights!(repeat chorus)
I’ll dance to it and
I will pray
so people start believing
in themselves...
wow oh roots from the heart...
Yeah…
so come back and come back
and play me some roots
Roots baby from the heart!
(chorus)
A different kind of church arise
From the skirts of Babylon
One that doesn’t fall on us
One that will unite us all
One based on our souls
Respect and conscious for all
Cause rules come
from the heart
No boundaries attached
One based in man’s nature
and the need to do good
Can you see when we all pray
we really ask for the same?
(repeat chorus)
And that will be the day
envisioned by every prophet
who walked ground
we now walk preaching
the universal concepts
Will they fight
against a friend
if they believe in the
same faith?
Didn’t they all the same
want unity for ourselves?
(repeat chorus)
All human kind is my kind
Make this church arise
Teach the children pride
In every step respect
We’ll all be proud of this church
This invisible church
That will unite us all
Based in good people’s soul
(repeat chorus)
Commands from the same God
The one and only up above
Not a dream it is
If you start coming in
The date is in your heart
Placed inside yourself
Come in and pray
Mass takes place...
Inside yourself

Oh Blessed One
won’t you
hear my chant
I sing for me and for
those who can’t
For some life is
too hard to live
That’s why you
sent me here to give
I’ll find them in
the streets at night
And turn their darkness
into your light
Then maybe they might
come to know
That even now
you do love them so
It’s not a sin to
be downpressed
So I’ll remind them
they are blessed
No babylon can’t
bring them down
Cause our lion
he wears the crown
I hope to help
them overstand
That the system
is not good for man
It wants to make
you sell your soul
For greed and fame
and power and control
But none of these
can set you free
Instead they trap you
in their misery
For wordly riches
make you slaves
Yet spiritual music
makes you whole again
So Father listen
to your son
I ask for guidance
with my humble song
And with all the
good things you teach
I know that many people
will be reached
And now that
we’ve had unity
Your name I’ll preach
to all humanity
But Oh Blessed One
more thing I want
Grant me tomorrow
so that I may Chant…
again…to You
Cuando llegue el momento,
me bendecirás
y al estar en tus brazos,
me cobijarás
Sabrás suavizar
lo que dejo atrás
Si lloro es por miedo,
pero mi confianza es total,
no desvanecerá!
El desprendimiento,
quisiera resistir
de lo que no podré,
tocar ni sentir
Dame valor mi señor,
por favor
quizás no pensé
todos los días en ti
pero en mi corazón te llevé
No sé si estar listo,
para partir
No sé si hay espacio,
para mi
Lo que sé es que mi confianza está
en Ti
(si lo está)
Ay te pido que
solo me juzgues
por lo que está
en mi corazón!
Si mis errores alguna vez, hicieron mal
y si hay lagrimas
que yo causé
pero no vi llorar
Te pido que
perdones mis ofensas
Descuidos,
es de humanos errar
pero en mi hay arrepentimiento
Oh Señor, heme aquí
Yo no esperaba que
fuera tan rápido a venir
Señor hazme fuerte ahora
y quédate junto a mi
Oro por aquellos que dicen
estar listos para partir
Pero el miedo es total porque adentro
ellos saben que
Dios todo lo vió
Al llegar el momento, dispuesto me encontrarás
Agradecido,
me bendecirás
Y al estar en tus brazos,
me cobijarás
Sabrás, suavizar
lo que dejo atrás
Si lloro es por miedo,
pero mi confianza es total,
no desvanecerá!

"Nice
rhytm, nice song! "
The harmonizing is great on the intro. recording
sounds good.the lyrics are swell and so is the arrangement.
I like the sitar I thought. Good luck.

Wow this is an awesome track. Many world elements
combined in an interesting way. I like the peruvian
flutes and how they float over the track. The African
vocalists make the song. The percussion is very
tight throughout. It would be interesting to hear
some traditional African drumming blended in the
mix instead of just the toms. Nice work!

of the political genre. Arrangement is nice, flows
well.

Good intro guitar! nice smooth intro reminding of
Santana's Ibanez TS9 distortion. The chorus guitar
with the staccatos does give the song a really nice

Jahmusik
is the first musical collaboration of Glenn López
and Lawrence Reyes in which a natural love of reggae music,
original song-writing talent and musical composition come
together in praise of the Rastafarian teachings and the
Rastas around the world who give testament to the virtues
of this way of life. Fusing reggae, rock, world and latin
rhythms, this album is “livicated” to all of
us who find ourselves living this life and wondering why
things happen the way they do and how we fit into this world
and its people.
Every
song points to the need to actively participate in and engage
in life in a positive way and help solve some of the issues
that humankind has to deal with these days. This music is
also about how we can find the peace of mind and soul that
we need in order to transcend the material dimension of
living and step into a higher vibration of living in which
our lives can and will make a postive difference to our
brothers and sisters that share with us this earth we call
home. We sing especially about the role that the Rasta plays
as a disseminator of truth, pointing out injustices and
standing up for the rights of those who cannot and we present
possible solutions to problems, all in a positive voice,
with faith and praise to Jah, who guides and blesses us
in this endeavor.
In
this regard, we know that reggae music and the Rasta message
play an important role in the future of our world. Not only
do we stand to benefit from the truths that are revealed
by this musical message but, also, we realize that we need
reggae music and the message it brings in order to heal
ourselves from the effects of this Babylon system in which
the human spirit can be crushed for the sake of so-called
progress, economic gain, and the selfish agrandizement -
therefore limiting our potential as human beings. Our music
is about unity, hope, peace, selfless work and a better
way of life for all people in all nations for all time.
Thank
you for listening and we hope you enjoy the music and the
message.
